Job Description

United Solar is a leading company in the solar energy industry and we are currently seeking a talented and passionate Solar Consultant to join our team. As a Solar Consultant, you will be responsible for canvassing neighborhoods providing expert advice and guidance to customers, helping them make informed decisions about installing solar energy systems for their homes or businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Canvassing neighborhoods going door to door approaching residential and commercial property owners.
  • Conduct consultations with customers to understand their energy needs and assess the feasibility of solar energy solutions.
  • Provide detailed explanations of solar energy systems, including their components, benefits, and potential savings.
  • Analyze customers' energy usage and recommend appropriate solar energy systems based on their specific requirements.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive proposals and quotes to customers, outlining the cost and benefits of installing solar energy systems.
  • Address customer questions and concerns, helping them understand the financial incentives and environmental impact of going solar.
  • Coordinate with installation teams to ensure smooth and timely implementation of solar energy systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and project details.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, government regulations, and technological advancements in solar energy.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in the solar energy industry or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, including their design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively educate and engage customers.
  • Ability to analyze energy usage data and recommend suitable solar energy solutions.
  • Familiarity with financial incentives and government programs related to solar energy is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
