Job Description

Brief description of the position:

• Primary role of Day Treatment Clinician within a special purpose private school, in both preschool and early elementary classrooms, working with children aged 3-11 with developmental, mental health, or behavioral health needs, building on strengths to increase their ability to function in the classroom that will support them to eventually return to public school.
• Clinical support with students both individually and within classroom settings with use of evidence based practices
• Support caregivers with transferring skills learned in program to home
• Interdisciplinary team approach – works with other professionals to collaborate and integrate care with individualized treatment plans and behavior plans for in classroom use.
• Maintains timely and accurate records and management of required paperwork for caseload

Requirements/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed Clinician (LCPC preferred).
• Experience with, or willingness to learn about, children with Autism Spectrum disorder, ADHD and trauma.
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and behavioral interventions.
• Must obtain CPR/First Aid/BBP certifications within 60 days of hire (provided by UCP).
• Must obtain Safety Care certification within 30 days of hire (provided by UCP).
• Must pass DHHS background check
• Valid State of Maine driver license, reliable transportation with proof of registration and insurance, and willingness to use own transportation for work.
