Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Semmes, AL, this position offers an opportunity to work as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at an elementary school serving students from kindergarten through 5th grade. This contract role spans the current school year, beginning February 21, 2026, and concluding May 29, 2026, with a commitment of 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language support and interventions to K-5 students.
  • Collaborate with speech-language pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress records in compliance with school and licensure guidelines.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment to support student communication development.

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the Board of Speech Examiners is required.
  • SLPA licensure issued by the Alabama Department of Education is applicable only for direct hire; ensure appropriate credentials for contract work.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and school personnel.

  • Forest Hills Elementary, Mobile, AL (one school assignment)
