General Summary:
The Web Designer is responsible for designing, enhancing, maintaining, and assisting with the development and delivery of online content and other proprietary web applications. This role works in partnership cross-functionally to design web pages that meet specifications and established design standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides support to the Marketing team, with a high attention to detail
Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
May coach and review the work of other team members
Designs, builds, and/or maintains websites using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media
Writes, designs, and/or edits web page content
Identifies problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and corrects problems or refers problems to the appropriate team
Evaluates code to ensure validity, proper structure, compliance with industry standards, and compatibility with browers, devices, or operating systems
Maintains understanding of current web technologies and programming practices through continuing education, reading or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:
Advanced knowledge of applicable work area.
Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
Ability to work on multiple projects and/or priorities simultaneously
Strong knowledge of network design and implementation
Knowledge of MySQL, OOP, SOAP/RESTful API's, GIT, and/or cURL
Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:
Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent business experience
3+ years of relevant experience
Experience using a mixture of PHP/HTML templates and designs
Experience with PHP5.
Preferred: Experience using AngularJS, Laravel, and CodeIgniter
Preferred: Experience using AJAX, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery
Working Conditions:
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
0-10% travel may be required
May require occasional work outside of normal business hours (go-lives, deployments, etc.)
