ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Leonardtown, Maryland.

\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
\n• 36 hours per week schedule with 3x12 shifts
\n• Every other weekend coverage required based on operational needs
\n• Float required to Telemetry and/or Medical-Surgical units as needed (1:5/1:6 ratios)
\n• Patient ratio of 4-6 patients in IMC unit
\n• 2 years of nursing experience required
\n• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
\n• Previous charge experience strongly preferred
\n• First-time travelers accepted
\n• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
\n• Must successfully pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
\n• Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
\n• 24-hour orientation provided
\n• No call required
\n• Work with adult patient population (daily census of 15)
\n• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHG, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery
\n• Perform procedures including chest tube management, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, and IV infusions
\n• Utilize special equipment including bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients, ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment

\nThis healthcare facility operates a 15-bed Intermediate Care Unit providing specialized care for adult patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern equipment and monitoring systems to support complex patient needs.
