The Diocese of San José, comprising some 525,000 Catholics across 54 parishes and missions, maintains a vibrant presence in Catholic education. There are 34 vibrant, faith-filled learning communities serving more than 14,000 students across 28 elementary schools and six high schools. The Superintendent will lead the Department of Catholic Schools by providing leadership, service, witness, and support to all Catholic Schools in the Diocese. The Superintendent will engage in a visioning process for the schools to pursue and support the broader mission of the Diocese of San José in “joyfully sharing the Gospel by encountering Jesus in each person and growing together in faith, love, and service.” The next Superintendent will discover extraordinary commitment and talent among principals, teachers, staff, and volunteer leadership.
