Southeast Texas HR is seeking Structural Welders / Fitters to join our team in our client’s fabrication shop. As our Structural Welders and Fitters, you will work 6am-4:30pm anywhere from 4 to 6 days per week. This position will pay $22-$28 per hour depending on your skill level and will be a temp to perm position. A welding/skill test will be given during the interview.
This role requires proficiency in various welding techniques, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. As a Welder/Fitter, you will play a crucial role in assembling metal structures and components, ensuring they meet quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including Flux Core and MIG.
  
• Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements.
  
• Assemble metal components and structures according to design specifications.
  
• Utilize power tools and machinery safely and effectively.
  
• Conduct plasma cutting as needed for precise material shaping.
  
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety protocols.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
  
• Conduct basic math calculations for measurements and material estimates.
  

To be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements:

• Two years of proven experience as a Welder or Fitter.
  
• Two years experience of Flux Core or Mig welding.
  
• Be able to pass a welding/skill test.
  
• Proficiency in welding techniques and the ability to operate plasma cutting equipment.
  
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
  
• Familiarity with power tools and machining processes is essential.
  
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
  
• Must have steel toe boots.
  
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  
• Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings including background check and drug test.
