About the Role KITSCH is currently looking for a motivated and talented Shopify Developer to join our Technology Team . What will be your responsibilities? Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build responsive, high-performing e-commerce storefronts. Build reusable components and scalable front-end features aligned with Shopify's theme architecture and best practices. Integrate third-party applications and custom APIs to extend Shopify functionality. Work closely with designers and project managers to translate UI/UX mockups into seamless digital experiences. Optimize website performance with a focus on load times, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility. Debug and resolve issues across a variety of browsers, devices, and Shopify environments. Maintain clean, modular, and well-documented code using version control tools such as Git. Stay current with Shopify updates, web development trends, and emerging tools or frameworks. Participate in code reviews and contribute to process improvements across the dev team. What are we looking for in you? Experience 2+ years of experience as a Web Developer with a focus on Shopify Theme development. Experience in Shopify Ecosystem (Online Store 2.0, Shopify CLI, and App Integrations). Experience in E-Commerce. Desirable: Experience in Beauty Industry Required Skills Shopify & Liquid: Proficiency in Shopify theme architecture, templating language (Liquid), Metafields, and Customizations. JavaScript : Strong skills in Vanilla JavaScript and modern frameworks/libraries (Alpine.js or React for headless setups). Front-End Development: Advanced knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 (including SCSS), and responsive design principles. API Integration: Experience working with Shopify’s Admin and Storefront APIs, as well as third-party APIs. Version Control: Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket). Desirable Skills Understanding of Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, and headless architecture using Hydrogen. Soft Skills Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong attention to detail and code quality. Clear communicator and effective team collaborator.
