About the Role Central to our mission is to become the most collector and seller insight led company in our industry. That means deeply understanding the motivations and mindsets of both current and future collectors and translating that insight into guidance for our product teams. To supercharge that work, we are looking to fill the newly created role of a Senior UX Researcher. Based in the design team and working closely with Product Managers and leadership, you will ensure we are: Useful - are our services helping users accomplish their objectives? Usable - can users complete their objectives quickly, easily, and conveniently? Used - are our services being or will they be used in the manner we intended? Once we have this insight, you'll organize, analyze, publish, and promote it so our colleagues can make informed decisions about the future directions of the business. This is a pivotal role and a great opportunity to build and shape how research is done and integrated into the wider business. Responsibilities and duties: "What you will do in the role day to day" As a UX researcher, you will combine helping launch some of their most important products for our business, along with helping us put collectors at the heart of the hobby. You'll also help grow our culture, coach and inspire the Fanatics team, ensuring everything we do is based on what our collectors think, feel and want. As a senior UX researcher you will: Set, maintain, and iterate standards for the user research practice at Fanatics Collect Plan, design and conduct a range of research methodologies to inform and guide the design and development of product journeys and marketing communication. Translate your findings into actionable insight that you will share across the organization, with a focus on promoting this user centered insight as key tool for business decision making. Guide and mentor colleagues on research best practices. Collaborate with our customer service and data team to gather deeper insights and increase effective cross-team ways of working. Support teams to build accessible digital products by including participants across the full range of our customer base. Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary delivery team, including designers and product managers, to define research plans. Occasionally lead and support the product design teams' work running design sprints using HCD to find solutions to problem statements. We'd love to hear from you if... You've got experience in: Generative, innovation focussed and open ended research exploration Evaluative Research to assess specific design solutions or concepts. Survey Design to gather insightful and valuable responses from a large audience. Basic knowledge of statistics and can analyze data effectively and interact in a world of A/B testing Leveraging new technologies such generative AI to quickly analyze findings and build insight What you'll bring to the role: Strong understanding of user experience best practices, and a commitment to staying up to date with industry trends. User-focus with the ability to push back and advocate for their needs. Solid business acumen through conducting User Research in a commercial setting. In Los Angeles, the salary range for this position is $104,000-$130,000, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. In New York City, the salary range is $112,000-$140,000. These salary ranges are specific to Los Angeles or NYC and may not be applicable to other locations. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training. Fanatics Collectibles also has partnerships with a number of individual international sports teams and leagues, as well as owners of other entertainment properties granting similar exclusive rights. Fanatics Collectibles recently announced Fanatics Live, expected to launch later in 2023, which will focus on transforming the digital shopping experience through personality-driven content and entertainment.
