Senior Staff Accountant
Job Summary:

This well-known firm is seeking a degreed Accountant to add to our staff due to the growth of the practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience is accounting, recent public accounting experience and proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks). This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, as well as the ability to provide strategic tax advice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
• Conduct tax research and provide guidance on complex tax issues
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop tax planning strategies
• Manage tax audits and correspond with tax authorities
• Stay current with changing tax laws and regulations
• Prepare tax provisions and support the quarterly and year-end financial close process
• Assist in special projects related to mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
• 3-5+ years of experience in tax accounting, preferably with a mix of public accounting and corporate experience recommended
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
