• Extensive professional expertise in Traffic/Edge Engineering or Cloud Networking
• Proven expertise with Linux network stack
• Highly skilled with one or more advanced programming language such as C, C++, Java or Go
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Chef, Puppet)
• Experience with automating operations (e.g., software deployments, config changes) at scale
• Understanding of performance analysis and optimizations

**Key Qualifications**

• Passionate about enabling internal partner teams
• Full product lifecycle ownership mindset (design ? implementation ? production)

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Passionate about contributing to open source projects such as Envoy ( ( and working across a large organization to meet Apples dynamic traffic needs
• Experience with core production engineering best practices (e.g., designing for operability and scalability, adopting SLOs, eliminating toil).

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apples discretionary employee stock programs.
