About the Role

Experiture is seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer with expertise in developing custom plugins and extensions across various PHP-based platforms , including WordPress, WooCommerce, Magento , and other eCommerce systems. The role focuses on developing plugins for Experitures core platforms (Experiture, Easypurl, and Omnimail), as well as handling advanced integrations, tracking systems, and personalized landing pages for various eCommerce systems. This is a versatile position requiring both front-end and back-end development skills. The ideal candidate should have experience working across multiple PHP-based content management systems (CMS) and shopping cart platforms , focusing on plugin/extension development, API integrations, and maintaining high-performance, scalable systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Custom Plugin & Extension Development :
  • Develop, maintain, and improve WordPress plugins for Experiture, Easypurl, and Omnimail products, including tools for tracking, personalized landing pages, and eCommerce integration.
  • Build and maintain custom plugins and extensions for WooCommerce , Magento , and other PHP-based CMS and eCommerce systems.
  • Integrate with third-party services (payment gateways, shipping services, reservation systems) through APIs to extend platform functionalities.
  
  
  
• ECommerce & CMS Integration :
  • Customize and optimize shopping cart systems like WooCommerce and Magento for seamless data flow and better performance.
  • Collaborate with other vendors to ensure the successful integration of external tools (e.g., payment processors, booking systems, marketing automation platforms).
  
  
  
• Cross-Platform Compatibility :
  • Ensure that all custom plugins/extensions are fully compatible with different PHP-based CMS and eCommerce platforms (e.g., WordPress , Magento , Drupal , OpenCart , PrestaShop ).
  • Build scalable, secure solutions that can handle a large volume of data and user interactions on high-traffic websites.
  
  
  
• Front-End Development :
  • Collaborate with designers to build and enhance front-end user experiences for WordPress and other CMS platforms.
  • Develop responsive, cross-browser-compatible designs with HTML5 , CSS3 , JavaScript (jQuery, Vue.js, or React).
  
  
  
• Maintenance & Optimization :
  • Manage system updates, plugin conflicts, and bug fixes across platforms.
  • Optimize CMS and eCommerce platforms for speed, performance, and SEO .
  • Perform regular audits of plugins/extensions for compatibility with platform updates.
  
  
  
• API & Database Management :
  • Implement RESTful APIs and handle data flow between CMS/eCommerce systems and external platforms.
  • Efficiently manage databases, including MySQL , for storing and retrieving data from plugins and extensions.
  
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience :
  • 6+ years of experience in PHP development with a focus on custom plugin/extension development for CMS and eCommerce systems.
  • Extensive experience in WordPress, WooCommerce , and Magento plugin development.
  
  
  
• Technical Skills :
  • PHP , HTML5 , CSS3 , JavaScript (jQuery, Vue.js, or React).
  • Strong experience in building custom WordPress plugins and Magento/WooCommerce extensions .
  • Expertise with MySQL and understanding of database structures for CMS/eCommerce platforms.
  • Experience in API integration and data exchange between systems.
  • Proficiency in Git and version control systems.
  
  
  
• Cross-Platform Expertise :
  • Knowledge of multiple PHP-based CMS platforms like Drupal , Joomla , or OpenCart .
  • Experience with WooCommerce , Magento , and other eCommerce solutions.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce workflows, including product catalogs, payments, checkout processes, and integrations with external services.
  
  
  
• Optimization & Security :
  • Deep understanding of WordPress, Magento, and WooCommerce security best practices .
  • Ability to optimize websites for performance, scalability, and SEO .
  
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PrestaShop , OpenCart , or other eCommerce platforms.
• Knowledge of Linux server environments for hosting and managing CMS and eCommerce platforms.
• Exposure to CDN services , cache management , and site optimization techniques.
