JOB SUMMARY: CRC has a need for a Russian Linguist to serve our customer in Quantico, Virginia.

DESCRIPTION : Candidate provides foreign language interpretation and translation support to several intelligence Community member organizations, internal directorates, and divisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide written translations of collected material using syntax and expressions from Russian to English
• Provide written translations of materials derived from the collection of foreign media sources
• Provide interpretation of collected foreign language materials
• Advise government lead on cultural, social, and ethnic significance of conversations, situations, documents, regions, and geographic areas

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to demonstrate professional-level proficiency in Russian and English and perform at Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR) Level 3 or above in listening, reading, speaking, and writing in those languages
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a security background investigation and polygraph
• An active and current Top Secret SCI - CI/Poly clearance is required to be considered for this work.
• Experience with performing written Russian-to-English translation
• Knowledge of Russian culture, politics, military, economy, current events, and psychology
• Knowledge of standard Adobe and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to produce client-ready, time sensitive products and reports per client requirements
• Deep regional expertise
• High School diploma and 2 years experience
• Moderate to advanced computer skills

NOTES:

• Very fast-paced, fluid environment
• Linguists regularly use Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat as well as a variety of customized tools and databases
