Job Description

This position is responsible for the full GAAP Accounting of a portfolio of 14-16 Commercial retail Shopping Centers.

This position is based in San Diego, going into the office 5 days a week during general business hours.

Essential Job Functions

  • Preparing and entering all monthly Journal entries into Yardi
  • Maintaining Lead Sheets for various Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts
  • Maintaining Fixed Assets in Yardi and placing new items into service
  • Income Statement variance analysis - MTD & YTD
  • Processing Monthly Commercial billings to tenants
  • Processing Tenant Billbacks and Tenant Account Adjustments
  • Assembling monthly financial reporting package for review by Supervisor
  • Posting of Straight Line Rent in Yardi
  • Data validation of abstraction of leases in Yardi
  • Preparation of Annual & Quarterly CAM reconciliations
  • Preparation of Annual & Quarterly TAX billings to Anchors
  • Preparation of Annual Property Budgets
  • Assist Property Management with Tenant CAM disputes
  • GL Account Analysis/Reconciliation
  • Daily interaction with Property Management requiring good communication skills
  • Approval of AP invoices in Payscan
  • Calculation and billing of tenant percentage rent & CPI's
  • Assist with Special Projects as needed

Benefits & Compensation(where required)

Benefits: The Company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).

Base Salary Range: $85,000-$90,000. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
