Work Schedule: Hybrid (On-site: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday | Remote: Wednesday, Friday)
Position Overview The
Project Controls Coordinator IV plays a critical role in monitoring, controlling, and reporting on the performance and cost aspects of assigned projects. This role ensures that project costs are accurately tracked, managed, and reported in alignment with Enbridge's business practices and project lifecycle processes. The position requires independent judgment, attention to detail, and strong collaboration with project management teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities - Collect project cost information, establish control budgets, and monitor ongoing costs.
- Perform cost forecasting, variance analysis, and cost reporting for multiple complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Ensure compliance with Enbridge-sanctioned cost control processes throughout project execution.
- Interpret project-specific business requirements and ensure alignment with company project lifecycle gating processes.
- Prioritize complex, competing projects and adjust priorities based on departmental objectives and strategic plans.
- Collaborate with the PMO, Financial Services, and other project stakeholders to fulfill project-related responsibilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across multiple departments and project units.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to support project management teams and stakeholders regarding project budgets.
- Track project performance against the plan in coordination with the Project Scheduler.
- Review existing policies and procedures and recommend improvements for project cost management.
Scope & Impact - Role impacts multiple work units and extends to internal (support departments) and external stakeholders (vendors, clients).
- Decisions are guided by established processes, standard practices, and professional judgment.
- Work assignments are often self-identified and executed independently.
- Recommendations are typically reviewed for technical accuracy and professional soundness.
- May provide guidance or mentorship to junior team members.
Required Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical and financial management skills.
- Proficiency in cost control, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
Working Conditions - Primarily office-based work environment.
- Occasional travel to field or construction sites may be required, including adherence to PPE requirements.
- Expectation to produce accurate reports and cost data on a timely basis.
