Pastor of Global Outreach - Eastview Christian Church

Position Summary

The Pastor of Global Outreach will provide visionary and strategic leadership for Eastview Global Outreach. This position will create and maintain vision alignment through the growth of our global partners, short-term mission trips, and a mission engagement pathway that mobilizes people to varying levels of sending, serving, and being sent long-term.

Essential Duties

• Serve as the primary vision caster for global ministry
• Seek to raise awareness and engagement within the congregation by leveraging key Sunday global emphasis moments and other events
• Align the global vision and strategy within Eastview’s other departments
• Serve as primary crafter of the global annual strategic plan and budget
• Serve as primary leadership liaison for domestic partnerships
• Serve on various input/recommendation focus groups as requested
• Build ever-increasing and dynamic volunteer ministry teams
• Lead and shepherd Global Outreach staff, interns, emerging ministry partners, volunteer leaders, and partnership leaders
• Oversee the development of ministry programs, initiatives, and events that accomplish the vision of Eastview as well as the Global annual strategic plan
• Oversee inter-departmental collaboration between global and other ministries
• Manage Global Outreach staff as pertaining to our partnerships and partnership visits (stateside), short-term mission trips, leader training, sending multiplication efforts, etc.
• Develop key strategic relationships with Eastview Global Partners
• Serve as a pastor/shepherd to the Eastview congregation including pastoral care, weddings, funerals, etc.
