Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize technology to continuously monitor and manage the Department's network, identifying and resolving performance issues, bottlenecks, and security threats.
• Conduct regular maintenance including the installation of patches, updates, and security fixes to enhance network security and functionality.
• Support the configuration and optimization of firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and the development of security policies and procedures.
• Aid in configuring and optimizing routers, switches, and access points for efficient and reliable network operations.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategies for migrating from on-premise infrastructure to cloud networks.
• Analyze network performance, providing weekly performance reports as outlined in section 4.3 of the SOW.
• Collaborate on developing disaster recovery plans to ensure network resilience.
• Provide 24/7 support to address critical network issues.
• Offer consultation on technology trends, network architecture, and strategic network planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must pass a State of Florida criminal background check as per section 18.0 of this RFQ.
• Excellent verbal and technical writing skills, able to produce detailed reports and effectively communicate with a diverse range of individuals including executives and technical experts.
• Strong organizational skills and an understanding of Florida's Departmental requirements and confidentiality policies under Chapter 282 and Chapter 119, respectively.
• In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, including experience managing network security measures like firewalls, IDS, IPS, and VPNs.
• Proven experience in network management across various industries and familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, including security planning and resource provisioning.
• Skilled in configuring virtual networks, access controls, and network monitoring tools, with the ability to proactively diagnose and resolve issues.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of client needs.
• Hold relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or JNCIA.
