We have a strong preference for this individual to reside near our corporate headquarters in the Brookings, SD area to have the ability to report to our Brookings, SD campus throughout the week. Daktronics offers the flexibility to work from a home office on days when there is not a need to be on campus.?? Candidate must be enrolled as a student and registered in at least 12 credits. Preferred applicant should be available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.

What will the work look like for me???

The marketing copywriter will work with an experienced team of strategists, copywriters and designers to enhance marketing efforts writing a variety of materials including printed literature, blogs, social media posts, web pages, email sends and more.

We are looking for someone curious and creative, digging into the details of the project to best communicate messages to the target audience.

The person in this position will:

• Collaborate with team members to complete various marketing mediums.
• Generate compelling copy that informs and inspires the target audience to act.
• Consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Learn our software and processes for receiving and posting assignments, tracking time, etc.
• Help troubleshoot problems when they arise.
• Continually learn about our products and industry.
• Conduct interviews with customers or subject matter experts.
• Complete projects and other duties as needed or assigned.???
• Become knowledgeable about company policies and procedures.???
• Regularly and reliably work scheduled hours.??
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and team members.

What is the compensation package??

??

The typical hiring pay for this position is $14.25/hour to $16.00/hour. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.?

Students with GPA of 3.5 and above are eligible for a $500 bonus (Academic Excellence Reward) each semester completed while employed.

Academic Requirements:?

• Must be enrolled as a student and registered in at least 12 credits in an accredited?bachelor's?degree program in Advertising, Communications, Journalism, English or related programs.???
• The preferred candidate will be in their sophomore or junior year of school.?
• Only strong academic performers in undergraduate coursework will be considered.?
• Must?maintain?an acceptable GPA.?
• Unofficial transcripts or web transcripts must be?submitted?with application to be considered for this position. ??

Other Requirements:??

• Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week during the academic year and up to?40 hours?per week during the summer.????
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.?????
• Good oral and written communication. Good organizational skills. Self-motivated and flexible with a desire to work as a team player.?Attention to detail is a must.???
• Enthusiasm for learning and working on new projects and flexibility to ever-changing priorities and responsibilities.???
• General computer skills, including?accurate?keyboarding and the ability to learn and navigate new software and tools.???
