Nurse Manager (RN) – Psychiatric/Mental Health

About the Role:

As an RN Nurse Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the nursing team, ensuring high-quality care for patients. You’ll collaborate with senior management on clinical and fiscal management, develop policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., JC, CMS, DMH, DPH). Your responsibilities include managing staffing, scheduling, and evaluations, while providing leadership and support to your team. You will also contribute to program development, ensuring services meet community needs and promote patient-centered care. Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment will be key to your success in this role.

Location: Hampden County, Western MA

Schedule: Full-Time

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Massachusetts.
• At least 5 years of experience in psychology or mental health nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role (e.g., Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, Supervisor).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing ( BSN )
• Advanced knowledge of behavioral health treatment modalities and nursing clinical practices.

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the nursing team in delivering high-quality care to patients.
• Collaborate with senior management to ensure sound clinical and fiscal management of nursing services.
• Develop policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, orientation, and evaluations for nursing staff.
• Act as a key contributor to program development, ensuring services meet community needs and promote patient-centered care.
• Interpret and apply regulatory standards (e.g., JC, CMS, DMH, DPH).
• Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Assume delegated responsibilities in the absence of other senior managers.
• Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
