Job Description

The Manual/CNC Machinist is a self-driven worker who has great attention for detail and is proficient at multitasking. The ideal candidate will perform the programming, setup, and operation of various machine tools. Open to part time and full time availability.

How you will make an impact:

• Will be exposed to multiple machines and controllers including Haas, Mazak, and ProtoTrak on 2 and 3 axis manual and CNC milling machines and lathes in a prototype machine shop environment.
• Work with SolidWorks, SolidCam or equivalent CAD/CAM software.
• Cut and prepare raw materials.
• Program, setup, and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes per shop personnel instruction.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy.

What you will need to be successful:

• 3-5 years machining experience.
• Experienced with the setup and operation of manual milling machines, lathes, and precision measuring equipment.
• Familiarity with grinding, fitting, and deburring.
• Basic understanding of blueprint reading.
• SolidWorks/SolidCam experience a plus.
• Be able to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Familiarity with GD+T.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to project requirements is essential.
