Job Title: Setup Injection Molding Operator / Assembler – 2nd Shift
Location: Earth City, MO
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00pm–6:00am (48 hours/week, built-in overtime; Fridays off)
Pay Rate: $21.75/hour

Position Overview

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Setup Injection Molding Operator/Assembler to join our client’s high-volume production team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for setting up and operating injection molding machinery, assembling components, and ensuring products are manufactured to precise specifications. Ideal candidates will bring hands-on manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with thermoplastic molding processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust injection molding machines according to production requirements.
• Assemble components and finished products following blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions.
• Prepare process materials, support feeding systems, and monitor production runs for efficiency.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime.
• Inspect in-process and finished parts to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
• Use specialized hand tools and follow equipment manuals to maintain optimal machine performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, including wearing required PPE (non-slip, closed-toe shoes and company-provided safety glasses).
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and address issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Hands-on experience with thermoplastic molding equipment, hand tools, and electro-mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work the full 2nd shift schedule (Mon–Thurs, 6pm–6am).
