Job Brief:

We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic, and energetic professional to provide sound technical support in all aspects of our business. The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the reliable performance, scalability, and security of the infrastructure to support business operations and growth. You will work directly under the IT Director and will function as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that may impact the current and future operations of the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design and Implementation:
2. Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure IT infrastructure solutions.
3. Implement infrastructure projects, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud solutions.
4. Maintenance and Monitoring:
5. Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and availability of the IT infrastructure.
6. Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
7. Security:
8. Implement and manage security measures to protect data, systems, and networks.
9. Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulations.
10. Network Management:
11. Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
12. Troubleshoot network issues and ensure network performance and availability.
13. Cloud Services:
14. Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
15. Ensure seamless integration between on-premises and cloud environments.
16. Collaboration and Support:
17. Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to understand infrastructure needs and deliver solutions.
18. Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users.
19. Documentation and Reporting:
20. Create and maintain detailed infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
21. Prepare regular reports on infrastructure performance, capacity, and security.
22. Capacity Planning and Optimization:
23. Analyze current infrastructure capacity and forecast future needs.
24. Implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
25. Disaster Recovery and Backup:
26. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
27. Ensure regular backups and the integrity of backup data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, AWS) are a plus.

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related role.
• Proven experience with network and server administration, virtualization, and cloud services.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
• Knowledge of security best practices and tools.

• Effective communication and people skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
