Overview

Looking for an internship for the Fall 2024 Semester? Interstates is looking for a Cyber Security Intern to join our team in the Sioux Falls, SD location during the school year. The Cyber Security Intern will be responsible for working on various projects for our clientele. Interstates seeks ambitious, innovative individuals with the ability to grow and maintain value-added relationships with our team and external customers.

Responsibilities

• The Cyber Security intern will assist the Cyber Security Lead with:
  • Network and hardware troubleshooting
  • Researching solutions
  • Testing & documentation
  • Cyber security incident response efforts
  • Monitoring internal and external policy compliance
  • Assessing and mitigating cyber risks
  • Creating audit policies and controls
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in Network and Security Administration, Cyber Operations, Cyber Defense or related fields
• Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals, understanding of common ports and protocols, and familiarity with common cyber security technologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated
