What you'll do:
The Safety Officer will be responsible for the Southern California project sites and will be based out of our Santa Clarita office.
· Communicates programs to enhance employee awareness of prevention and compliance.
· Maintain, and update as necessary, Site Safety Plans and Site Safety Training.
· Conduct occasional site inspections to identify potential hazards
· Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions
· Provides technical leadership and functional guidance to support regulatory standards being followed.
· Provide safety training to employees on various topics including OSHA regulations and emergency response procedures
· Maintain records of safety inspections, training sessions, and incidents
· Collaborate with the Safety Officer to ensure a safe work environment for all employees
Your qualifications and Experience:
· Education in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
· Certification in EHS or related field is a plus
· Proven experience working in safety compliance, risk management, or related field
· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Experience with Procore, or other construction management software
· Understanding of construction management principles
· Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels
Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 DOE
