Westchester Soccer Club is currently seeking a highly motivated and professional Athletic Training Intern to join our team for the upcoming season. This internship opportunity is ideal for a student enrolled in a CAATE-accredited athletic training program and eligible to sit for the BOC exam. The position offers hands-on experience in a dynamic sports medicine environment, with coverage responsibilities across high-level soccer, clinical settings, and community-based care. Position Overview The Athletic Training Intern will work under the supervision of a certified athletic trainer, contributing to the health and safety of Westchester Soccer Club athletes during practices and games, while also gaining clinical exposure at The Athletic Training Room PLLC. The intern will develop professional skills and confidence in preparation for the BOC exam and future employment. Responsibilities Include Assist in daily practice and home game coverage Observe and engage in injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation Support hydration and environmental safety protocols Assist with taping, wrapping, and bracing techniques Be a first responder in emergency care situations under AT supervision Maintain accurate documentation and communication with medical staff Participate in clinical tasks including patient intake, modalities setup, and treatment observation at The Athletic Training Room Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and a team-centered approach at all times Requirements: Enrolled in a CAATE-accredited Athletic Training Program Eligible to sit for the BOC exam within 12 months Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (American Red Cross preferred) Reliable transportation to and from all locations Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for sports medicine We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
