Position: Associate Tax Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Associate Tax Accountant to join our expanding team. In this role, you will provide critical support to the Senior Tax Accountant by assisting with federal and state tax compliance, sales tax reporting, audit support, and various other financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sales & use tax workpaper monthly and file sales & use tax returns in all jurisdictions in which the company operates, including the new tax jurisdiction registration and online account set up.
• Assist with month-end financial close processes, including general ledger account reconciliation, analysis, and support during the year-end audit.
• Work closely with various departments to ensure the correct billing of sales & use tax to customers.
• Support the preparation of transfer pricing documentation.
• Gather and organize financial data to assist the Senior Tax Accountant with audits and regulatory reporting.
• Manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects, while also completing regular responsibilities, working effectively and independently.
• Conduct research on sales & use tax issues and provide informed recommendations.
• Assist with ad-hoc tax related projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in tax accounting.
• Solid understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mandarin language skills are preferred but not required.

Work Location and Status:

• Full time position, based in Irvine, CA.
• Hybrid work environment (minimum of 3 days in office)
