Position Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)/ Caregiver

Position Location: Jefferson

St. Coletta, a leader in providing residential, vocational, and educational services to adults with developmental disabilities, has an excellent employment opportunity for 3rd Shift Direct Support Professional/Caregiver in our Jefferson, WI group homes! Responsibilities:

As a 3rd Shift DSP/Caregiver in one of our Jefferson programs, you will assist clients in the areas of daily living skills, provide personal cares, and prepare for the following day by packing lunches and housework as needed. In this role, you may be required to perform other duties such as transporting clients locally (Jefferson/Fort Atkinson and surrounding area), completing and maintaining accurate reports, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Don’t have any DSP, Caregiver, or CBRF-related experience? We provide all the paid classroom and on-the-job training needed.

After completing our training program, you will be a CBRF-certified DSP!

Requirements

• Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend documents. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate with customers, clients, and employees.
  
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to problem solve with a variety of variables in standardized situations. Ability to interpret and follow through on instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  
• Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the standards set forth by the organization and valid vehicle insurance. Ability to complete and maintain all required training in accordance with organizational, County, State, and Federal regulations.
  
• Driving Requirements: This position requires that an employee is able to drive for work purposes and must maintain a valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the standards set forth by the organization. This position may also require the use of the employee’s personal vehicle.
  
• Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to respond to and de-escalate behavior issues. Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. If the lift is greater than 50 pounds, the employee is encouraged to get assistance.
