About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Government and Public Affairs to lead strategic government relations and communications activities at the federal, state, and local levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive stakeholder engagement strategies, particularly with government officials, community groups, and NGOs. The VP will also be tasked with legislative engagement, including the analysis of legislative issues and the development of plans to drive positive outcomes. This role requires a minimum of 20 years' of experience in external affairs, with at least 10 years' in a management capacity, and a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. The ideal candidate will have executive presence and gravitas, with established relationships and credibility with policymakers. They must possess superior leadership skills, the ability to work across all levels of management, and a proven track record of leveraging external affairs to support large-scale infrastructure development. The role demands a high degree of teamwork, organizational and project management skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel extensively, often with little notice. Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive and controversial issues are essential.
