The Anchor Bay Veterinary Center team is seeking a skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our team of dedicated animal healthcare professionals. As an Veterinary Assistant at Anchor Bay Veterinary Center, you will work closely with our veterinarians, technicians, and receptionists to provide exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and record vital signs
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
  • Perform dental cleanings and assist with other procedures as needed
  • Clean and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
  • Knowledge of basic animal care, nutrition, and behavior
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
