WHAT YOU'LL DO As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an essential role in keeping the hospital safe, clean, and comfortable for patients, clients, and the team.
Your day may include:
- Walking, feeding, and providing general care for hospitalized and boarding patients
- Bathing and grooming patients as directed
- Cleaning and maintaining exam rooms, kennels, and hospital spaces
- Preparing tools, instruments, and supplies for procedures
- Assisting with patient handling during exams or treatments
- Monitoring and reporting changes in patient behavior or condition
- Restocking supplies and supporting the team as needed
- Laundry, dishes, and general upkeep to ensure a welcoming environment for clients and pets
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU NEED - High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with animals (preferred, but not required)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A strong work ethic and genuine compassion for animals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- A desire to learn and grow within veterinary medicine
