El Dorado Animal Hospital is looking to welcome an Associate DVM to our growing practice. We are an AAHA-accredited and silver level certified Cat Friendly Practice proudly serving cats and dogs in Fountain Hills, Arizona.
Experience and qualifications: We're open to veterinarians of all experience levels! We're looking for an energetic DVM with a great personality and excellent client communication skills. Or next Associate must work well with our support staff, have a positive attitude, and great work ethic. A large portion of this role will focus on wellness and sick visit exams.
- Top consideration will go to those with a strong interest in dentistry
- Must be licensed (or able to become licensed) in Arizona for consideration
- We have a heavy feline client base; prior cat-friendly handling experience is a plus
Scheduling and typical workflow: We're searching for a full-time doctor who can provide four days of coverage each week (4-10s). We believe in leading by example, so our leadership team arrives when the rest of our team arrives, and our day begins around 7:30 a.m. We typically have 2-4 procedures each day and perform surgeries Monday-Friday. Our DVM team is assigned a technician every day and our support team is very well trained, independent, and fully utilized. Our primary services include general wellness, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery including spay, neuter, tumor removals, cystotomies, enucleations, gastrointestinal and abdominal surgeries. We keep most of our internal medicine cases in-house and have ample opportunities for you to further develop your soft tissue surgery skills. We also have a strong referral network for complicated emergency/critical care, internal medicine, or surgical cases.
