ABOUT THE JOB

As a UI/UX Designer & Front-End Developer at We Write Code, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the experience we provide to our clients. You will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle from conception to completion. Your ability to understand requirements and design beautiful, functional products will guide the development roadmap, and at times you will write CSS to implement your visual work with precision.

You'll be expected to stick to your commitments and deliver quality solutions on time. You'll create wireframes, mockups, and high-fidelity functional prototypes for a variety of projects across many industries. You'll consult with the development team to ensure your work is within scope. You'll have the opportunity to get user feedback and iterate. You'll use your dangerous CSS skills to make the final pass on our products, ensuring the front-end experience is glossy.

These are the most important things for you to bring to the table:

• Solid understanding of product design, usability, and basic design principles — as

evidenced by your portfolio (please send us a link!)

• Proficiency in design software such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or

comparable

• You have at least 3 years of experience designing digital applications
• You enjoy getting your hands dirty and implementing designs in code - HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Solid communication skills; ability to question and understand complex functionality

You’ll get extra points if you have the following:

• Experience with any of these roles: software developer, copywriter, business analyst,

project manager, scrum master, QA / verification tester, or product owner

• Have a unique hobby or background
• Hands-on software development experience
