Travel RN Job Details

• Unit: 5 Surgical (Med/Surg Tele)
  
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/20/2025 – End: 1/19/2026)
  
• Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30), every other weekend required
  
• Hours per Week: 36
  
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
  
• Unit Size: 40 beds
  
• EMR: Meditech (Meditech EMR experience required)
  
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue
  
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,780 - $1,910 per week
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active KS or Compact RN License (Registered Nurse license)
  
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience
  
• BLS and TNCC certifications required
  
• Meditech EMR experience required
  
• Must reside at least 100 miles from facility (radius rule applies)
  
• References required
  
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
  
• No first-time travelers accepted
  
• Prior employees of Salina Regional not considered
  

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical and medical patients (excluding cardiac)
  
• Care for pre/post-op patients, general pediatrics, ortho, neuro, trauma, urology, and general surgery cases
  
• Float to 4 Med unit as needed (nephrology, oncology, general medical, dialysis)
  
• Utilize rapid response/code teams and interdisciplinary clinical support
  
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, wound care, and manage surgical drains
  
• Administer medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA), manage respiratory equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC), and isolation precautions
  
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR
  
• Collaborate with physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other healthcare support teams
