Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an OH or compact RN license and 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes adult medical and surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring
• Assignment features 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night shifts as needed
• Travelers must be available to work at least every other holiday
• Shift preferences are considered but rotation may be required to meet hospital needs
• Uses Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours worked
• Testing on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate is conducted during orientation with two attempts allowed
• Modules must be completed prior to start and are tracked in Silkroad
• Badging and fingerprinting must be completed on site prior to start date
• Nurses and CSTs are temporarily exempt from nicotine screening requirements
• Permanent and per diem staff must wait 12 months from previous end date before returning
• Assignment extensions beyond 18 consecutive months require mutual agreement
• Scrub and dress code requirements may apply according to hospital policy

• Active permanent OH or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross required
• One supervisory reference in specialty is required for consideration
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation
• No open background check cases or license issues allowed
• BG (BCI/FBI) prints must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
