Express Healthcare Staffing of Nashville is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Nashville, Tennessee.

Registered Nurse – Med Surg
Unit Name: 2nd Medical

Requirements:
Must have an active TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience
Certifications Required: BLS; NIH and CPI preferred

Must Have: Strong assessment skills; experience with IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets

Procedures Performed on Unit:
IV placement
Foley catheter placement

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 28
Patient Ratios: Days: 5–6:1; Nights: 6:1

Unit Staffing: Days: Unit Secretary, 2–3 PCTs

Equipment: Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Telehealth, Virtual Sitter equipment, remote telemetry

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend (Sat/Sun); weekdays flexible
Floating Policy: PRN; most often float between Med Surg units

Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report (BSSR), hourly rounding

Dress Code (Required):
Black or Royal Blue scrubs
