Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM or night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
\n• Manager creates schedule based on unit needs
\n• Every other weekend requirement
\n• Holiday requirements: 2 out of 3 major holidays or every other as needed based on unit needs
\n• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU
\n• Must live more than 50 miles from facility (radius rule applies)
\n• Cannot be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
\n• Driver's license required at submittal for radius verification
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• Must pass open book exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or face contract termination
\n• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
\n• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
\n• Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove results in contract termination
\n• Work in 34-bed Medical Surgical ICU with 1:1-2 nurse-to-patient ratios
\n• Care for adults and pediatrics over 15 years old with complex conditions including neuro surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, and cardiogenic shock
\n• Required to titrate drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics
\n• Must read and interpret telemetry strips using Draeger heart monitoring system
\n• Work with various equipment including CVPs, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, ICP monitoring, and ventilators
\n• Collaborate with attendings, fellows, and residents in fast-paced tertiary care environment
\n• Chart in EPIC system
\n• RTO required upfront (7 or less days per 13-week contract)
