Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a VA or compact license and expertise in circulating and recovering C-sections.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Cares for laboring mothers and provides C-section support including circulation and recovery
• Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Travelers are required to float between Haymarket and Prince William Medical Center as needed
• Uses Epic EMR system with a test-out option available
• Responsibilities include circulating and recovering C-section patients in addition to labor support
• Expect collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
• Travelers must agree to policy of floating between designated facilities as needed within specialty scope
• Return staff must have at least 12 months between assignments unless otherwise approved
• No mile radius rule applies for candidate eligibility
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Time off requests must be finalized before assignment confirmation and limited to no more than 10 days per 13-week contract
• Flu vaccination documentation or exemption must be submitted for compliance

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active VA or compact RN license in hand
• A minimum of 2 years of recent and strong Labor & Delivery experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Experience circulating C-sections and performing C-section recovery is required
• One reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required for the fall/winter season unless valid exemption is provided
