Sebring International Raceway

This race track located in Sebring, Florida, is America's oldest road racing track, with over six decades of storied history. It hosts the historic Twelve Hours of Sebring each year on the third Saturday of March on the 3.74-mile road course. The Twelve Hours of Sebring is one of the four endurance races on the IMSA schedule.

Tow Truck Driver

Operate a tow truck during race events at the track.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Receive calls from the tower to dispatch tow truck to a location on track.
• Hook tow truck to car or use a roll back truck to load and remove disabled cars from the track.
• Tow car to team location and drop off.
• Remove car from tow truck and drop off.
• No travel required for this position.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Qualifications: Must be willing to work weekdays and weekends, and some evenings. Position is safety sensitive and participates in the corporate Substance Abuse Program (SAP).

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
