Test Driver - Engineering

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Test Driver - Engineering to manage and execute tire vehicle testing across North America.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting ride and handling tests, coordinating test logistics, collecting and analyzing test data, and ensuring consistency in testing procedures.

You will collaborate closely with engineers, test drivers, and third-party evaluators to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of testing operations.

This position requires travel to proving grounds as dictated by testing programs.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Manage and conduct vehicle testing for ride and handling performance

• Schedule and coordinate test tracks, vehicle rentals, and wheel acquisitions

• Oversee tire/wheel mounting and shipments to and from proving grounds

• Collect, analyze, and report test data, ensuring accuracy and clarity

• Work with OEM test drivers and engineers to ensure consistent evaluation standards

• Manage external testing with third-party evaluators

• Organize and conduct snow handling and traction tests

• Continuously improve data collection processes in collaboration with engineers

• Travel within North America to proving grounds for testing programs

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a technical field

• 3+ years of experience as a tire test driver in vehicle testing

• Strong data acquisition and analysis skills (Microsoft Office, reporting tools)

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to travel to proving grounds as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in OEM tire testing

• Working knowledge of tire engineering principles

• Experience with tire mounting equipment and logistics
