Tech Support – Tier 3

Local technology support company needs a senior Tech Support Technician to assist in the service of their customers. The candidate will perform the following:

· Provide technical support for end-user computer and communication systems

· Document steps and resolutions in a ticketing system

· Remotely Assist customers with technical problems

· Assist with other technical and non-technical duties as directed

Required Experience / Education :

· A technical aptitude with troubleshooting skills

· 7+ years technical experience

· Preferred Associates degree in technology or equivalent experience

· Networking understanding (IPv4 and IPv6, routing, switching)

· Advanced Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11 understanding

· Advanced server operating systems understanding of Windows Server 2012 through 2022

· Virtualization with VMWare and/or Hyper-V

· Certifications: MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA A+, Network +, or Security +, Etc.

· General PC hardware and software principals

· Strong customer service skills

· Good phone etiquette

· Good written skills

· Ability and desire to learn rapidly and consistently

· VoIP experience is a plus

· Dependable and on-time attendance

Other Requirements:

· Dependable transportation with insurance (Required)

· Local travel might be required

· Some long-distance travel might be required

Tech Support position will have exposure to:

· Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019,2022

· Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11

· Linux

· VMware

· Mac

Hardware:

· HP, Dell, and other switches

· Fortigate, Sonicwall, Juniper, and other firewalls

· HP, Dell, and other servers

Other Technologies:

· Active Directory

· IP Networking

· Network Security Products (AV, Zero Trust, EDR/MDR, etc.)

· Microsoft Exchange

· VoIP Technologies

· Virtualization Technologies (VMware and Hyper-V)

· Content and SPAM Filtering

· Cloud Services (Office 365, Azure, AWS)
