Job Description
NH Bookkeeping Services LLC DBA NH Tax Service is a full service accounting firm serving individuals and businesses with their accounting needs. We offer payroll, bookkeeping and tax preparation services for our clients. We are looking for an individual with tax preparation experience that can assist primarily with both business and personal tax preparation during our peak season January-April, while also being able to help with other accounting services throughout the year such as tax planning and bookkeeping. This position will be a full time job with more flexible hours during the off season of May-December and more hours (including the opportunity for overtime) during January-April. This position has internal growth potential in a rapidly growing company. This is not a seasonal position.
Job duties:
Review and gather necessary tax documents needed for tax preparation
Prepare accurate tax returns for both individuals and businesses
Use knowledge from previous experience to identify allowed tax deductions, credits etc.
Qualifications/ Skills needed:
Experience as a tax preparer or related role (EA or CPA is preferred)
Experienced in using tax preparation software (Ultratax is preferred)
Previous experience with Quickbooks desktop and Quickbooks online or other related bookkeeping practices and procedures
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of technical accounting/bookkeeping procedures
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and work independently
Attention to detail with accuracy
Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a rapidly changing environment
Provide support to other focuses of the business as needed
Strong ability to multitask
