The ideal candidate will oversee tax compliance, ensure regulatory adherence, and provide strategic tax planning guidance. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize liabilities while maintaining compliance. Tax Preparation & Review: Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy and timeliness. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance. Financial Analysis: Assess financial statements for tax implications and provide strategic recommendations. General Ledger Oversight: Reconcile tax-related accounts to maintain accuracy in financial reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to support corporate accounting and financial reporting. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or EA certification preferred. Experience: 5+ years in tax planning and compliance, with expertise in corporate tax principles. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, federal/state tax regulations, and tax planning strategies. Proficiency with tax and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks). Ability to interpret financial statements and assess tax implications. Leadership & Soft Skills: Ability to provide strategic tax guidance and proactive planning.
