Job Title: Tax Accountant
Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 (based on experience)
Location: Kingston, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time – Direct Hire
Manpower is seeking a Tax Account Lead for a well-established, close-knit accounting firm with a strong client base and annual revenue averaging $500K–$600K. With focus being on providing high-quality, personalized service to their clients, we are seeking a dependable and hardworking Tax Accountant.
Position Overview:
As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for year-round write-ups, tax preparation, and general accounting support using Drake Software, QuickBooks, and Excel. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing tasks independently while contributing to our team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare individual and business tax returns using Drake Software
• Perform regular write-up work throughout the year , including bank reconciliations, individual tax preparation, general ledger entries, and financial statement preparation
• Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping and client account management
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports using Excel
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Communicate with clients as needed to gather information and deliver completed work
• Support other team members and assist with general office accounting tasks

• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation and general accounting
• Proficiency in Drake Software , QuickBooks , and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• A dependable and hardworking attitude with a commitment to high-quality service
