Talent Manager (Storck North America)
SUMMARY: The North America Talent Manager is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing talent management, recruitment, training, and development programs, policies, and procedures aligned with Company Values and HR-Talent Strategy along with Federal, State/Provincial, and Local law in support of the USA and Canada Business Units.
In addition, they will work closely with HR Management regarding the development and implementation of the overall HR-Talent strategy. This individual must have the ability to handle assignments that are of a confidential and complex nature with considerable discretion, judgment, and tact.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition (Recruitment and Staffing):
- Manage, maintain, and oversee all Recruitment and Staffing activities and processes supporting USA and Canada.
- Perform and enhance daily full-cycle recruitment activities for all positions. Oversee and execute internal processes aligned with local and Corporate Hiring and Interviewing practices and procedures.
- Ensure recruitment and hiring activities are in compliance with Federal, State/Provincial, and Local laws and reporting requirements. This includes administration of AA-EEO programs and initiatives with internal and external partners.
- Perform and enhance recruitment activities keeping internal stakeholders and candidate experience and Talent brand central to maintain a high level of engagement, positive experience, and ensuring internal stakeholders and candidates are informed routinely throughout the recruitment process.
- Perform and enhance recruitment activities including training Hiring Managers and Company leaders on interviewing, recruitment, and hiring best practices aligned with local and Corporate Hiring Interviewing practices and procedures.
- Actively participate in recruitment community outreach aligned with our AA-EEO Plan and Diversity, Equity, and Belonging Committee Mission Statement. Develop and build a diverse candidate pipeline.
- Oversee and manage HRIS System for Recruitment (job postings, dispositioning candidates, candidate communication, etc.) along with Corporate Career Site and LinkedIn.
- Oversee and manage the recruitment process through and including the offer stage and then transition candidate to employee onboarding process in partnership with HR Total Rewards and Operations Manager.
- Actively contribute toward improving recruitment metrics including cost per hire, time to fill, candidate experience, hiring manager experience, etc.. Assist HR Director in compiling and presenting on metrics for routine and requested reporting.
- As needed and aligned with HR Director, manage visa immigration process in partnership with legal counsel.
- As needed and aligned with HR Director, directly manage and partner with external Contract Recruiters or 3rd Party Recruitment Agencies.
Talent Management:
- Manage, maintain, and oversee Talent Management related initiatives, projects, and programs for USA and Canada.
- In partnership with HR Director, plan and execute annual, mid-year, and additional Performance Management Cycles and processes aligned with local HR-Talent Strategy and Corporate practices and standards.
- Manage overall utilization, adoption, and training of Predictive Index tool in recruitment, talent management, and training and development opportunities on an individual, 1:1, and team basis.
- In partnership with HR Operations and Total Rewards Manager, align on compensation, bonus, and benefit plans and strategies for all roles, levels; ensure transparency requirements and best practices are achieved aligned with local, State, and/or Federal Law. This also includes the maintenance of existing and development of new job descriptions as needed.
- In partnership with HR Director and aligned with HR-Talent Strategy, assess and implement processes for promotion, succession planning, and career development aligned with local and Corporate practices.
- In partnership with HR Director, create, implement, and update Career and Development Path Toolkit and Processes for all roles and Departments; including future implementation of Individual Development Plans.
- Provide HR/Talent guidance and support for Company Internship and Trainee programs, content, and materials.
- As needed, participate in Corporate Talent projects; provide local business unit and Country perspective and best practices for Global consideration and adoption. Execute Talent training and initiatives as needed.
- Partner with HR Director to create, implement, and execute Talent Review and Succession Planning processes.
- Partner with HR Director to budget and support Training and Development and Tuition Reimbursement benefit program.
- Manage and administer HR Talent Systems; Blue Ocean Brain, Culture Amp, and Storck Learning World.
Training and Development:
- Create, plan, manage, and execute local training initiatives for USA and Canada for Business Unit, Company, and Department-level training needs.
- Plan and execute compliance training for USA and Canada (Hiring, Workplace Harassment, Policies, etc.)
- Partner with Corporate HR and Corporate Personnel Development Department to create, plan, and execute local or Global training (virtual, in-person).

Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong working knowledge of Office365 including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving ability with demonstrated experience managing situations through facts and data in order to recommend and/or make business decisions with various stakeholders involved; sound judgement and decision making
- Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to analyze, interpret, and take appropriate action based on data and insights
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different levels and communication requirements of internal and external stakeholders
- Energetic, proactive, and action-oriented individual; reliable, acts with a sense of urgency, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines; ability to discern urgent and important
- Experience developing and implementing plans and processes
- Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity; experience working with Global/International Business preferred
- Ability to handle assignments that are of a confidential and complex nature with considerable discretion, judgment, and tact
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience; high school diploma/GED required
- Minimum five (5) to seven (7) + years progressive experience in Human Resources, Recruitment, and Training and Development required, with at least one to two years in a Manager-level capacity
- Experience managing AA-EEO Plans; Visa processes strongly preferred
- Experience with Paylocity Recruitment HRIS preferred and experience using LinkedIn Talent Hub required; other HRIS/ATS experience preferred (Culture Amp, ADP, BambooHR, Greenhouse)
- Experience with Predictive Index strongly preferred
- Experience with Culture Amp strongly preferred
- Fundamental knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices including PHR (HRCI) or SHRM-CP certification
- FMCG/CPG Industry experience preferred
Working Conditions: Hybrid Work Model, including Monday and Friday Work from Home, and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in normal working conditions for an office environment downtown Chicago, IL.
Travel: Approximately 5-10%, which potentially includes international travel.
Other Qualification, Safety Procedures : Must be willing to follow and comply with communicated Company, Travel, and Retailer safety procedures, which may include COVID-19 testing or following other safety procedures in order to attend meetings, travel domestically or internationally, comply with Retail Partner safety procedures, and/or follow other workplace health and safety requirements to fulfil job duties.
