**About the Employer**
Nestled in the hills above the San Francisco Bay Area, the City of Piedmont is a residential community with a population of about 11,000. Many people move to Piedmont for the excellent public schools and the family-oriented community atmosphere. Piedmont Unified School District (PUSD) consists of three elementary schools, one middle school, one traditional high school and one alternative high school serving 2,600 students. The student population has become increasingly diverse and includes 20% who identify as Asian, 3% Hispanic, 3% African American, and 74% Caucasian. PUSD is dedicated to providing students with a comprehensive educational program that includes a broad-based curriculum, exemplary staff, and an environment that fosters respect for oneself and others. PUSD is among the highest ranking unified school districts in the State with over 95% of Piedmont Unified School District graduates pursuing a college education. Our goal is to create a community of students, parents, teachers, support staff, and administrators who collaborate in an environment of mutual trust and support for the educational development of the student body.
