Job Overview:
The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting key accounting processes. This position involves close collaboration with the accounting team and leadership to manage financial operations, reporting, and audits.

Primary Responsibilities:

General Accounting Functions

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
• Reconcile monthly bank statements and balance sheet accounts.
• Organize and maintain financial records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.

Financial Compliance and Reporting

• Prepare documentation for external auditors.
• File sales and use tax returns in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct internal audits and support financial close processes.

Revenue and Cost Optimization

• Analyze financial data and recommend strategies to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
• Perform inventory management and reconciliation.

Support Functions

• Assist in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.
• Respond to requests from management and external auditors.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.

Skills and Proficiency

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite by Oracle and Paycom (preferred).
• Ability to analyze financial reports and troubleshoot accounting software.
