Position Overview: The Sr. Manager of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is responsible for leading and managing our SEO initiatives to drive organic traffic growth, improve search engine rankings, and enhance the overall digital presence of the company. This role involves developing and implementing effective SEO strategies, managing an outsourced SEO vendor, and working cross-functionally with various teams to ensure the successful execution of SEO plans. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SEO, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities: - SEO Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with the company's overall digital marketing goals and objectives.
- Vendor Management: Oversee the performance of the outsourced SEO vendor, ensuring they meet deliverables, deadlines, and quality standards. Facilitate clear communication and provide direction to maximize vendor efficiency.
- On-Page and Off-Page SEO: Guide the implementation of on-page and off-page SEO techniques to improve website rankings and drive traffic. Ensure best practices in content optimization, meta tags, link building, and other relevant factors.
- Content Strategy Development and Optimization : Develop and optimize the content strategy to ensure it aligns with SEO goals, enhances user engagement, and drives organic traffic growth.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on key SEO metrics and performance against established goals. Utilize analytics tools to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Coordination : Work closely with performance marketing, engineering, product, content creation, and web development teams to ensure cohesive execution of SEO strategies across all digital platforms.
- Industry Research and Trends: Keep abreast of the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO certifications) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SEO with a proven track record of successful SEO strategy development and execution. Prior experience managing outsourced vendors is essential.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, keyword research tools, SEO software, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Moz).
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to enhance SEO performance.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in mentoring and developing teams.
- Proactive and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Ability to work with and earn trust of product, engineering, marketing, and operations stakeholders.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time remote position
- Remote team members must live and work in the United States (preferably EST). Approved Remote Locations are Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
