Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Position Overview:
A welcoming elementary school in West Chicago is hiring a Special Education Teacher to support students in grades K5 with mild to moderate disabilities. Your role will focus on early literacy, foundational academic skills, and fostering social-emotional growth.
Position Details:
Full-time, onsite
20252026 school year
K5 caseload (final assignment based on fit)
Combination of push-in, pull-out, and small group instruction
Participation in IEP meetings, goal tracking, and parent communication
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 Endorsement
Experience working with elementary-aged students
Knowledge of early intervention strategies and behavior supports
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compensation & Benefits:
$32+ per hour , based on experience
