Onward Search is seeking a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a collaborative school team in Portland, OR . This in-person position begins ASAP and continues through the end of the school year (June 24).

Details You Should Know:

• Location: Portland, OR
• Schedule: 7.5 hours per day, including a 30-minute paid lunch
• Grade Levels: Elementary (Self-Contained Classroom)
• Caseload: 12 students, with 3 assistants
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 24, 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the classroom teacher for an elementary self-contained classroom.
• Provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) to students with disabilities.
• Lead and participate in IEP meetings.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress.
• Write and update IEPs for all students on your caseload.

Qualifications:

• Current Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working in self-contained classrooms, particularly with elementary-aged students.
• Strong understanding of IEPs, SDI, and data collection.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with assistants and other educators.
