Job Description

• Fluent in both Spanish and English (oral and written), with a deep understanding of Puerto Rican history, culture, and dialect.
• Proven experience in accurately translating and interpreting complex technical conversations and documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with event organizers.
• Preferred knowledge of natural resource management and climate change topics.
• Proficient in the simultaneous translation of complex scientific topics between Spanish and English.
• Experience with online platforms such as Zoom and Teams for interpretation services.

• Provide simultaneous interpretation between English and Spanish during online and in-person activities.
• Coordinate with the USDA Caribbean Climate Hub to schedule translation services.
• Set up and manage translation booths and headsets during in-person events.
• Ensure accurate and effective communication, adhering to established interpretation protocols without adding or omitting content.
